We are a little late with this post. Chinese New Year began the end of January. The malls were all decked out and they even had some shows. Where we live are many different ethnic groups, but quite a few come from Chinese background so this holiday is very big here.
This particular mall brought in some acrobats all the way from China. They were very talented. The past few weeks they've had shows every day - so we happened to be there and were able to see them perform. Very impressive!
This girl looked like she had a huge slinky wrapped around her. It's actually like 50 or so hula hoops!
This kid was quite the comedian. He ended up not only balancing on these pvc pipe things, but also juggled at the same time. He was dramatic though and pretended to almost fall when he first started. An actor in the making :)And the finale . . . a lion dance video - this traditional dance is performed for a duration of almost a month all over town to commemorate the Chinese New Year.
