A few weekends ago we went with some of our neighbors "balik kampung" which just means visiting home. This was the place that "pakcik" (uncle) is from. "Makcik" (aunt) also loves to go down there to visit, their house sits right on the inlet. On the way, they made sure to show us some sites. First stop was this famous waterfall near the area where we were heading.

The second stop, was a popular beach only about 30 minutes away from our destination. We just took a quick stroll on the shore, since we don't have the ocean near us. On the way we noticed these funny looking holes, but then realized it was made by crabs burrowing into the sand. It made for some beautiful sand art!

Grilling some fish, local style! Justin looks like he's helping out, but is actually just posing for the picture :)

This is a better view of the house that we stayed in. It's been built recently, but is still getting finished up. This is a typical fishing village house, but a little upgraded since this family lives in the city. It's a great location though!

This was one of the stops we made on the way home. It's a historical part of our country (popular with the tourists as you can see from the people in the background). We didn't really go for a ride in this thing, just a good photo op :) The driver especially liked posing, he even had us take a few pics just to make sure it came out ok!
