To anyone in the US, coming across a Hummer is probably not too big a deal. Yet here, there are only about 4 or 5 in the whole country (and 1 or 2 of those belong to sultans)! So, needless to say, we were pretty impressed to see this in the highland area parked on the side of the road and couldn't help take a picture. We probably looked like silly tourists, LOL!

We never thought we'd have Christmas pictures by a fireplace in this country, but yet it happened in the highlands. At night it's low 70's maybe high 60's so we were freezing!

We didn't have a Christmas tree in our house this year or last, so we decided to at least take a picture with one in a restaurant where we ate the day after Christmas with the Rivers. This was a great little restaurant with lots of strawberry goodies which we can't find where we live!

The night of Christmas we decided to make Eggplant Parmesan for dinner/the Rivers choice :). This being Justin's specialty, we didn't mind eating that instead of the more traditional foods eaten around Christmas time.

This beautiful scenery can be seen from the road heading to the highland area. It is very beautiful, but along the way are tribal people who live in extreme rural settings (often in the middle of forests, where it's hard to get to them). Along this road many will sell traditional honey, fruit, or wooden crafts. If you enlarge this picture you can see a steeple in the shape of a cross. It was encouraging to see that and we decided to stop shortly and visit with some of the people from that village.
And below we have a few Christmas videos - Ha,ha!
And finally . . .

This picture is just in here to show how beautiful God's creation is!!!
(If you look closely, you can even see the stars)
